TK/Kindergarten Online Enrollment for the
2026-2027 school year is NOW OPEN!
TK - Child MUST turn 4 by September 1, 2026
Kindergarten - Child MUST turn 5 on or before
September 1, 2026
We will begin accepting completed 2026-2027 TK/Kindergarten Pre-enrollment packets on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Completed packets may be submitted in person, at the District Office located at 305 Mark West Springs Rd. between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday (with the exception of holidays)
Please note: We cannot accept incomplete pre-enrollment packets. When you submit your student's pre-enrollment packet, we will review it. If you are missing a documents(s), you will be informed of what is missing and the packet will be returned to you. Once you have obtained all required documents, we'll look forward to receiving your complete packet.
What do I Need to Bring to Ensure that I have a Complete Packet?
1. A printed, hard copy of the Online Enrollment Packet, signed on the last page
2. Priority School Form (available during the online enrollment process)
3. Over Enrollment Form (available during the online enrollment process)
4. Behavior Agreement (available during the online enrollment process)
5. Home Language Survey (available during the online enrollment process)
6. Inter District Transfer (only required if you live out of District)

7. Copy of student's Birth Certificate
8. Copy of student's current immunization records
9. Residence Verification (only a current PG&E or Water Bill are acceptable)
10.Custody Agreement/Restraining Order (if applicable)
11. Special Services Documentation (ie: 504/IEP if applicable)
ALL completed 2026-2027 TK/Kindergarten pre-enrollment packets will be date/time stamped in the order received. The Superintendent will review completed, 2026-2027 TK/Kindergarten pre-enrollment packets, mid-late February 2026. Students will be placed based on the following criteria in order of date/time stamp:
- Students who reside in the attendance boundaries of the district
- Students who currently have a sibling attending school in our district on an inter-district transfer
- Students who have an inter-district transfer but have no sibling in the district
*We make every effort to honor parent/guardian placement request however, it cannot be guaranteed. *Pre-enrollment does not guarantee placement.

2025-2026 TK Enrollment - Child will turn 4 on or before, September 1, 2025
2025-2026 Kindergarten Enrollment - Children will turn 5 on or before, September 1, 2025
ALL Enrollment Packets will be date/time stamped according to submission and MUST be submitted at the District Office - 305 Mark West Springs Rd. Santa Rosa, CA 95404
Submission of an Enrollment Packet does not guarantee placement in the MWUSD
In addition to the printed and signed Online Enrollment Packet, a complete packet will include the following:
- Proof of residency with your name on it (PG&E or Water Bill ONLY)
- Copy of Child's Birth Certificate
- Copy of child's immunization records
- Completed Home Language Survey
- Additional documents as noted on the "Documents" page during the Online Enrollment process
- If you live out of district, please also submit an Inter-District Transfer . Please complete Section 1 of the agreement prior to submitting.
- NOTE: Students entering grades 1st -6th must also submit a copy of their 24/25 Attendance and Discipline Records from their current school. If your student has no discipline record, a note, written on the school's letterhead and signed by a school official will suffice.
ALL completed Online Enrollment Packets must be submitted at the District Office - 305 Mark West Springs Rd., Santa Rosa between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm (Monday-Friday)

ALL NEW students requesting an Inter-District Transfer to the Mark West Union School District entering grades 1st - 6th are REQUIRED to submit a copy of their Attendance and Discipline records from their previous school district with their required paperwork. Consideration of enrollment will not be reviewed until all required documentation has been received.
In addition to submitting the printed and signed online enrollment packet, you will be asked to submit:
- Proof of residency with your name on it (PG&E or Water Bill ONLY)
- Copy of Child's Birth Certificate
- Copy of child's immunization records
- Copy of the printed and signed Online Enrollment packet
- Additional documents as required during the Online Enrollment process (Noted below)
- If you live out of district, please also submit an Inter-District Transfer which can be accessed on our District website under Parent Resources. Please complete Section 1 of the agreement prior to submitting.
- Completion of the online enrollment process does not guarantee placement into a Mark West Union School District school. All enrollments are reviewed once the required documents have been submitted and verified by district staff.

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR TK-6TH GRADE NEW ENROLLMENTS?
The online enrollment process is NOT CONSIDERED COMPLETE until ALL required documents have been received
Print and submit ALL documents listed as “required” in the “document” section of Online Enrollment
Print, sign and submit the Online Enrollment Application
A copy of your child’s Birth Certificate
Print A copy of your child’s Immunization Record
Proof of Residency at your current address (Only a copy of a PG&E or Water bill with parent(s) name(s) will be accepted)
ALL NEW students to the Mark West Union School District entering grades 1st-6th are required to submit a copy of their Attendance and Discipline Records from their previous school district.
All documents must be submitted to the Mark West Union School District Office at 305 Mark West Springs Rd., Santa Rosa. Completed application packets should be delivered in person.
What should I do if I don’t have access to a computer/printer? Will hard copies be available?
No hard copies of the Online Enrollment packet will be available, enrollment MUST be completed online. However, we’re happy to help!.
